  • Case Manager - Broward Hollywood Outreach Center

    The Case Manager at Broward Outreach Center will provide the necessary planning, organization, direction, supervision and recording of the recovery, training and re-entry goals of individuals enrolled in the Centerís Residential Program. Incumbent must have a demonstrated and verifiable background in addiction etiology, recovery pinciples, prevention, and human growth and development. Must be able to lead by example, and be proficient in the use of computers

    Education / Experience: High school graduate with some college education, and one year of addictions training required. Must have a minimum of one year verifiable work experience in homelessness. Must be knowledgeable of community programs and resources that are available to clients. CAP certification highly desirable. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.

    Salary: $12.00 to $14.00/hour. Position is non-exempt.

  • Cook - Pompano Center / Non-exempt

    The The Cook at Broward Pompano Outreach Center will be responsible for preparing meals for our residents. Must be knowledgeable in food preparation, storage, handling and serving techniques in an institutional type setting. Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate.

    Education / Experience: High School diploma and knowledge of basic mathematical calculations to calculate measurements for recipes. Must have a valid driverís license with 4 points maximum. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.

    Salary: $10.00 - $12.00/hour. Position is non-exempt.

  • Communications Manager (Full-Time/Exempt)

    The Communications Manager is responsible for implementing and integrating comprehensive marketing strategies for Miami Rescue Mission | Broward Outreach Centers. Requires demonstrated skills with graphic design in various media formats. Is responsible for effectively planning, promoting, and managing various media campaigns. Includes advertising, social media communications, newsletters, brochures, radio, TV and electronic media outlets. Also requires basic knowledge of photography. The Communications Manager will assist with Press Alerts, Press Releases, special events, and web maintenance. Knowledge of videotaping and editing highly desirable. The Communications Manager will also assist in video productions and radio programs as needed.

    Education / Experience: AA Degree in Communications or higher and/or special Graphic Design Training (Art Institutes, etc.). Must demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience working with Adobe In-Design, Photoshop, and other Adobe products. Exhibits professional oral and writing skils. Must also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Valid Floridaís Driver License with acceptable driving record required. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.

  • Guest Services Assistant-Overnight Shifts - Males Only - Miami Center for Men

    The Guest Services Assistant (GSA) monitors and oversees residential clients at the Center. Duties include assisting with new resident orientation; providing general oversight of residents in the absence of management; ensuring that residents perform assigned chores; handling emergencies according to policies and procedures; providing operational support for events such as graduations and luncheons; and, coordinating transportation and/or laundry services for residents.

    Education / Experience: High school graduate with a valid driverís license. Must have one (1) year work experience in social services or security-related work. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.

    Salary: $10.00 - $12.00/hour. Position is non-exempt.

  • Food Service Driver - Miami (F/T, Non-Exempt)

    The Food Service Driver (FSD) will provide donation pickup, GIK donation processing responsibilities, and food storage organization. The FSD will pick up and record donations, track inventory in and out of the departments, and prepare related reports. Will be responsible for loading donations onto vehicle, and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Also responsible for opening and sorting all bales, boxes, crates and other containers containing donations; assists with inventory, and places items on racks according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, color, or product using FIFO (first-in-first-out) storage methods. Marks packages or cans with identifying information and dates when applicable. The FSD maintains all storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner according to State of Florida health department regulations.

    Education / Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Florida Driverís License with a good driving record. Food Handlerís permit preferred. Must have knowledge of food storage, handling, and inventory control. Also requires good customer service skills and a professional demeanor to effectively interact with clients, employees and outside professional contacts/vendors. Must be able to pass a Level II background screen and drug test.

    Salary: $9.00 - $11.00/hour. Position is non-exempt.
